Participation Resources & Activities
Inspired by own experiences as a "quiet student," my initial exploration of rhetorics of silence pertained to their role in classroom participation policies. The resources you see here stem from my desire to expand notions of "active participation" and to offer teachers practical applications of such notions. I've compiled the list of "Additional Activities" over the last nine years, as I continue to pursue my own professional development; at the bottom of the list, you'll find just a few suggested readings about the role of silence in education. If you have questions about the topic, or suggested readings or tools, feel free to contact me.
